This traceroute tool is used to determine the route taken by packets across the IP network. Traceroute works by increasing the "time-to-live" value (TTL) of each set of packets sent. The first set has a TTL value 1, which means that they make only a single hop. The next set of packets has a TTL value of 2, and keeps incrementing until it reaches maximum TTL. When a packet passes through an active element of the network, the host decrements the TTL value by one, and forwards the packet to the next host. Traceroute is used for network troubleshooting. By showing a list of routers traversed, it allows the user to identify the path taken to reach a particular destination on the network. This can help identify routing problems or firewalls that may be blocking access to a site. Maximum TTL this implementation uses is 20, timeouts are set to 2 seconds.
Please wait, tracerouting might take a little while.
Problem
The address you provided ('') does not seem to be a valid IP address nor a valid host name. IP address in IPv4 composes of exactly 4 number within range from 0 to 255 separated by periods. Host name composes of aplhanumeric strings separated by periods, for example 'host.subdomain.domain.com' is a valid host. Please, try again.
